If there’s one trend I LOVED throughout winter, the teddy bear coat was the one. I loved it so much that I actually wrote a whole post on the teddy coat being my ultimate winter fashion staple. With the weather being the way it is here in England right now, it’s safe to say I’m keeping hold of this trend for as long as possible. We started the month of March with snow… SNOW. What’s crazier is that I came back from 35-40 degree heat in Thailand, to minus temperatures in England. We then had about a week of sunshine (still pretty cold though), and now I’m currently writing this blog post with even more snow outside… This was the moment I knew I’d be taking my fluffy coats into spring…
I’ve styled this faux fur coat with a more ‘spring’ outfit – a short sleeve top and skirt. It’s all about transitioning between the seasons, right? What I love about this teddy coat, and the main reason I’m making it my transitional coat for spring, is the style and length. The other teddy coats I own are quite long, so this one is perfect for adding that chic faux fur look, without taking too much away from the rest of the outfit. I also love the colour of this coat, as its neutral shade makes it a versatile piece that can be worn with many different outfits. I chose to style it alongside a grey top and khaki skirt, as I love how the colours in this outfit complement one another, and they look great for transitioning into spring.
I fell in love with this khaki skirt as soon as I saw it, and for the price, the quality is insane. I love the soft suedette feel to it, and the zip detailing at the back. Although this colour is very autumnal, I can’t help but bring it into spring with me, especially as there are so many ways to style it! You could wear it with a pair of black tights on those slightly colder days, or you could just keep it bare – like I did. This skirt is also perfect for dressing up or down. I chose to wear it with a pair of black boots, for a casual every day look, but you could also glam it up with a pair of black or neutral barely there heels.
I have to admit, I haven’t bought many things from Topshop recently, as I’ve seen SO many cheaper alternatives to so many of their clothes, I just can’t justify their prices sometimes. I did go into a Topshop store just before Christmas, and this top was right at the front of the store, and I knew I had to have it immediately. I’m starting to love slogan tees recently, and I absolutely love the design of this one. I can’t help but feel like there are some Gucci vibes going on with this top, and the colours and detailing look amazing together! I also love the rolled sleeves and slightly oversized fit with this top – I’m wearing it in a size S. This tee would also look great with a pair of ripped skinny jeans and nude heels, but I also love how casual it is.
I cannot wait to start shooting spring outfits in warmer weather again. I am READY for it. I have so many ideas for blog posts, and I’m so excited to share them all with you! Let’s hope the next fashion posts you see on here will be shot in warmer, and more accurate spring weather, and not minus temperatures. I don’t know about you, but I am done with winter.
