FLORAL TWO-PIECE…

The lovely girls at Cari’s Closet kindly gifted me this gorgeous floral two-piece set, and I’m seriously in love with it. When I was contacted about collaborating with them, I just couldn’t say no…

I decided to go for this floral two-piece, because I currently own just one other co-ord set, and I want to start a little collection – they’re such a great wardrobe staple. These sets are so comfortable and easy to style, plus they make your look seem effortless, which means no more pre-night out stress of finding a top and shorts/skirt that will go together – bonus! The other set that I own has a bandeau crop top and long skirt (featured in this old post – how my photography has changed!) and I loved the idea of having shorts instead of a skirt.

What I love about this two-piece set is the bell sleeves and loose-fitted shorts, and the floral pattern adds a touch of summer/festival vibes. The overall design is stunning, and it fits me so well. I found that it’s quite true to size, as I got this set in my usual size – I didn’t size up or down. I really like how it fits my body, as it’s quite fitted and flattering, but also the loose sleeves and shorts gives that slightly oversized look, which I think looks amazing. I also love the detail around the neck, as the cut-out design gives this outfit that edgy, yet glamorous look, which is definitely my kinda style!

There are also a couple of other colour options for this set (white or black), but I decided to go for the apricot set, because I love how all of the colours in this complement one another. I didn’t go for white because I am the clumsiest/messiest person ever, and I doubt it would’ve stayed white for very long! I also own a lot of black clothing, so I thought I’d mix it up with a colour that will stand out in my wardrobe, and this apricot set does exactly that! I styled this two-piece alongside a pair of nude sock boots and gold sunglasses, as I wanted to keep the colours in this outfit quite neutral, and really show off the floral detailing in the top and shorts. These boots give this outfit a touch of style, without being over the top, and they complete the effortless style that I was going for with this look.
