Why It’s Okay to Change…

Hey guys! It’s been a while since I last posted on my blog, and I’m sorry it’s taken this long to update you all. For the last few months, I’ve been thinking about my blog, and where I want to go with it. I mean, not literally – although, any travel posts will be up on the blog! I just feel like I want to get a little more personal in each post, and I really want to expand and try new things on here. Until now, I’ve only posted about fashion, and written about my outfit details. Don’t get me wrong, I love talking about these things, and it’s why I started my blog in the first place, but I don’t want to limit myself to just talking about fashion. I want to try a bit of lifestyle and travel, as and when I feel these are appropriate – or when I actually travel somewhere worth posting about! I also think I will keep anything beauty related to my YouTube channel, but who knows, I might decide to write about the world of beauty on my blog one day.

This change has come because I feel as though I have a lot more to offer than just talking about my outfits, and I think that by expanding my niche and talking about other things that I enjoy, it will (hopefully) make my blog more interesting and personal. Fashion will still be the main focus of my blog, but I’ve been thinking about my future goals, and I think that to grow further, I need to push myself and work harder, and also try new things and get out of my comfort zone. I’ve always been someone that can feel quite uncomfortable about change, but I’ve never felt better about the direction I want my blog to be going in. I was so used to talking about my outfits on this blog, that I was completely leaving myself out of so many other amazing things to talk about, and really limiting myself on what to say. I’ve definitely noticed an increase in how much I write in my posts. My first posts barely had any writing, and I gradually rediscovered my love for writing. When it comes to writing about my outfits, as much as I enjoy it, it can often be quite repetitive… I don’t know if that’s just because I practically live in my Topshop Joni Jeans, or if I’ve just run out of things to say about them.. oops!

I needed to take a little break from posting on my blog to really think about the direction I want to take this, and I’m feeling more inspired about what’s to come than I ever have. What I’ve learnt is that taking a break to think about future goals isn’t a bad thing, and that change isn’t as scary as it can seem. Change is something that can take some getting used to, but every aspect of your life comes from a decision. Now, imagine making a decision you wouldn’t normally make – making a change. Just imagine how different your life could be if you embraced change, and pushed yourself to new limits. I’m not saying you have to go and make drastic decisions and change every part of your life, but saying yes to an opportunity you wouldn’t normally say yes to could open up a world of new possibilities…

I could talk about this forever, but I’m going to wrap up this post here. I really cannot wait to get started on new content, and posting more frequently, and I really hope you all enjoy it as well. I’m also working hard on making YouTube videos, and I’d really appreciate it if you could have a look at my channel, and let me know what you think. Thank you for reading, and I’ll see you all in my next post…

I've felt similar to you in a way where I wanted to post more varied content on my blog, except when I gave myself this freedom, I kind of lost vision on what I wanted my blog to be- which was a safe place for anyone to talk about the things they need to get off their chest, and to feel like they are not alone. I have a post called How to Write the Blog You Want to Read, which I'll link below, and make sure to comment if you do check it out, lovely! I think you shouldn't limit yourself to a niche, but post what feels right. xx

  6. Beautiful photo's 💕 And I completely agree with you , change is sometimes needed to really take something from good to great or great to amazing. Taking a break and seeing what you think is missing and bringing more to table is one of the best things you can do for yourself ❤️ I look forward to seeing more content from you lovely ☺️ Xx
